I'm sorry I did not remember to post something about Don back in May. I am doing a project on where the papers of New Brunswick authors are kept, and as I was doing Don's entry I remembered that he had passed and wanted to reach out. He led a very interesting life and we're so honored that he chose to donate his papers (which includes many of his short stories) to the University of New Brunswick. I was fortunate to have met him and worked with him throughout 2021.
My father, James Gordon MacDonald, was also a resident of the veteran's home with Don. My Mother, Edith, and my father enjoyed visiting with Don on numerous occasions. Our deepest condolences to Don's family at this time.

Thank you Hilary, I am his son Gordon, I spoke to him many times by phone as I live in Alberta, I did have a chance to say my farewells to him, He was a very smart man and shall be missed, RIP DAD.
