Lynn Arris posted a condolence

I was so sorry to hear the news of Lois’ passing and I would like to send my sincerest and heartfelt condolences to Ed, Jim, John, Kathy, and the rest of Lois’ extended family. How do you sum up what a person has meant to you, now that she has passed? All I know is that I had the privilege of knowing and being family friends with this wonderful, loving, intelligent, resourceful, humorous, incredible woman for most of my life. She was the ultimate Mum, and the best friend anybody could ever have and my Mum (god rest her soul) and Lois had been very good friends since they met in the 70s. Lois will be sorely missed by her family, her extended family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her. Rest In Peace Lois - I will always treasure (and miss) the times we spent together laughing and talking. Your friend always, Lynn Arris on behalf of the Arris Family

On behalf of my brother Bert and my sister Heather I am sorry to hear about Lois' passing. We are first cousins to Lois as our father Bud (Robert) Curry was Aunt Bernice's brother. Heather was part of your Mom and Dad's wedding party if my memory serves me right. We are the Ottawa connection. Sorry to hear your Dad is not doing well with the Alzheimer's. Stewart and I keep in touch with each other. Once again we are sorry for your loss.

This is heartbreaking news. I have been friends with Lois since the early 1960s. We shared an apartment in Montreal and she was my bridesmaid in 1966 in Cumberland Mills Beauce, Quebec They always stayed with us on the way to visit family in Ontario almost yearly..Just spoke with Lois a few days ago when she had just got her scan report, we were on the phone for about an hour.
Our deepest sympathy to the family

To Edward, Jim, John, Kathy and the rest of your family. I am so sorry to hear of Lois's passing. She was such a Great Lady. So funny, smart and so talented. I will always cherish my memories of staying with you in 1984. I have even used some of her parenting techniques with my own children. As long as she lives in our fond memories she will never be gone.

Warm muffins and hot coffee at the Mehan house. Little kids running around and the sound of laughter. She taught me about life, sewing and making great muffins! She will forever be in our hearts. Lois you were a kind loving person. Xoxo
