Obituary of Jean Kathleen Spilman

The passing of Jean Kathleen Spilman of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, wife of the late Byron Spilman, occurred on February 13, 2022 at Nashwaak Villa surrounded by family and the wonderful staff.  Born on November 20, 1922 in Stanley, NB, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Irene (Gilmore) Fraser. 

 

Jean was a teacher, waitress, custodian and an active member of her community.

 

Jean is survived by daughter Beth Sparkes of Happy Valley, NL; chosen daughter, Jean Mazalin, Calgary, AB sisters,  June Douglas (Stuart) of Nashwaak Bridge,  Vivian Rouselle (Camille) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Melanie, Adam, Troy, and Lori Anne; great grandchildren, Emily, Luke, Abby, Jane, Cole, Kelsey and Amber; great-great granddaughter, Gracie.

Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by son,  Byron C. Spilman; sisters, Pearl Armstrong, Gertrude Colpitts and Beth Renaldo;  brothers Ted,  Peter, Jack and Fred Fraser; chosen granddaughter, Dallas

 

Due to Covid-19 and the current health restriction, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to The Nashwaak Villa Foundation Inc.
