Very sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She was a Nashwaak Bridge legend and I have many fond memories of being at her home, finding out about what new little animal she was caring for, and listening to her stories.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences

Sincere condolences to Jean’s Family, as you celebrate a life so fully-lived. I have many memories of Jean but those that are extra special happened when we worked together at Stanley High School. In addition to her cheery smile and great stories, she brought us the best homemade treats! Her fudge was always a huge hit as well as her cookies. Yum! Jean was a pure delight and made us all feel loved and part of her family. Staff and students alike were always on our best behaviour, as we knew she was keeping an eye on us xxx. Warmest hugs to All, Sandra Sparkes

Our sympathies Beth, and to all Jean’s family and extended family.
I remember Jean as a hard worker, full of energy, and love for people.
I can still hear her laughter when my Dad would tease her … to which she held her own and dished it right back at him.
Such a sweet lady,
Ann (Gilmore) & Dick Hetherington

Sincere sympathies to Jean's family at this time. She was a wonderful person. We had sought her assistance with an infant bunny that we found orphaned in our yard. She was the "animal whisperer" and provided guidance to care for this little creature as she did for so many kinds of animals. Such a gentle soul, may she rest easy.

Dear Family and Friends of Jean Spillman,
She was a wonderful person. Always kind and gentle. We worked together at Brewer's Family Restaurant many years ago. Jean was the Hostest and I a Waitress. She was a walking encyclopedia. Knowledgeable on many subjects. A lady in every sense of the the word. So glad I had the privilege to know her. Sleep well my dear friend. You'll be missed by many.

I am pleased to have known Jean for over 60 years, through her children and grandchildren, as a member of United Church Women, and as a co-worker. When Jean was a custodian at Stanley High, we had many after-school chats. She brought a gracious touch to her job (as Jean would ), and I remember the lovely philodendron she placed in the library and nurtured until it grew along the upper shelves and eventually circled the room.
During NB's Bicentennial, her special interest in the Scotch Settlement site helped create a legacy for later students of local history.
In her later years as she lost her sight, Jean remained the cheerful, gracious lady she had always been, and gave comfort to others when she could.
My deepest sympathy to all the family.
Sincerely, Sandra MacBean
