The passing of George “Dadoo” Dignard of Nashwaak Village, NB, husband of the late Annette (Roussell) Dignard, occurred on January 25, 2022 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on January 18, 1932 in Tracadie, NB, he was the son of the late Georges and Celina (Vienneau) Dignard. George was known as the “Fishman”. His fish truck could be could be found on Union Street or Brookside Drive. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and spend time in the garage.
George is survived by his children Denis Poirier (Tammy),Wilfred Poirier (Delores), Gilles (Emma), Ginette, Pierre (Liette) and Nicole (Bernard); step-daughters Jocelyn Duffield, Jeannie Morgan (Jeff) and Joanne Poirier (Gerald Richard); brother Lazare Dignard (Georgette); sisters Simone Benoit and Jeanette Breau (Gerald); several grandchildren, the two he thought of as his own Georgie and April; several great grandchildren; He was predeceased by his brothers, Clarence, Andre, Simon, Albenie and Ludger Dignard; sisters Melanie Racine and Delcia Robichaud.
Due to the current provincial health restrictions. There will be no visitation or service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
