Duncan and Family,
Walter and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family on Fay's passing. I remember her well from High School days, singing in choirs. Although we lived in Fredericton, our lives didn't cross again until meeting at a Cancer Support Group. She was the first person I met, inviting me to sit with her gave me courage to attend. Her quiet, gentle demeanor spoke volumes. The wonderful life you shared holds dear memories, very personal treasures.

Dearest Duncan and family,
How sad I feel today. I just heard, and I dropped my work. It's time to think about old friends.
I adored and admired Fay, and, really, everyone did. She was such a lovely presence wherever you ran into her. And maybe you didn't know: she was awesome for getting on the phone to talk about BOYS, meaning of course the boys of FHS! I took advice from Fay because she was smart, confident and naturally magnetic. She was popular among the girls and the boys, and likely the teachers. She had neat things to say about others, never mean, never undermining, always upbeat - even if it was an ex-boyfriend! I missed Fay at our reunion in 2015, so I haven't seen her in about 56 years! Still, I'm not ready to hang up the phone with her until I have done some more meditating and lit a real candle.
Duncan and everyone, bless you for living well with Fay, for taking care of one another, for loving all the gardens in your landscape. I know you had a good life because it shone through in your puppy love - a certain confidence that this was the real thing. I'm sending you the love of old friendship, and shalom for your heart.
In gratitude for you, Fay, and the grand people of ol' FHS,
Joy Stevens, Ottawa

How can you possibly say “Goodbye” to a dear friend you have known since the age of 12. Fay & I have shared much in the years since we first were childhood friends at Nashwaaksis Memorial School. We shared raising our children together, celebrated birthday’s in wild & wonderful places & many other family celebrations & passages in our families lives. Fay was always there with an open door & an open heart when needed. Our last conversation was on her birthday this year. Such a warm & connected conversation we had in spite of my being half way across the country. No matter the time or distance between our conversations, it was like we had just seen one another the week before. Such was our “forever friendship” & so she well remain in my heart & in my memories. So grateful for ALL that we have shared this lifetime. I will keep our picnic basket packed & your *Birthday* parasol nearby for future birthday celebrations. Until we meet again dear friend... Much Love ~ MAVIS xo

Dear Duncan and family,
It is so sad to hear of Fay’s passing. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time. Fay and I met in grade 10, some 59 years ago and I knew immediately what a classy and lovely person she was. We have remained in touch over the years; the last time I saw her was our 50th high school reunion. But then living 2000 miles away precludes getting together frequently. I still have all the lovely family photo cards she shared over the years. You will all miss her so much.
