Lynn, and I were deeply saddened to here of Celia's passing. She will be remembered as a most congenial, friendly, generous person. Whenever we gathered for the Russia-Canada Series or the Montreal Canadiens games against Toronto or the Stanley Cup Series, She was the perfect Hostess and spoiled us with lots of goodies. Her love for animals was always a special part of Her life. We will miss Her.

Ivon, Steve, Stacie, and Matthew. My heart is broken along with yours. I will miss my dear, sweet, funny friend. There was nobody who could tell a funnier story than Celia could. There was nobody who loved her family more than Celia did. And I know that there was not a single soul who loved her furry “children” more than Celia did. I am certain that she arrived at the Rainbow Bridge and gathered Riley and those who came before him before she headed to the Pearly Gates. When she got there, I can just imagine St. Peter saying, “Watch out everyone…Celia’s here. Prepare yourselves for laughter..”
Rest easy my friend. You will be missed by so many.
Love and heartfelt sympathy,
Kathi

I am so sad to learn that Celia has passed away. I knew her from the old internet WWQP Chat group and had met her at the Rosey's Retreat event in Ontario almost twenty years ago. I still have fond memories of Celia's wonderful sense of humor and the funny stories she would tell on herself. My heart hurts for your family.

I am so sorry! Celia was one funny lady, I will alway remember her stories she shared on the World Wide Quilting Board! There are too many words and sometimes not enough words. Rest in Peace.

For Ivon, Stacie, Matthew and Steve (whom I've never met)
I am overwhelmed with sadness and given the distance between Mono, Ontario and Lincoln, New Brunswick, our paths, Celia and mine, crossed but three times but those three times were filled with laughter, with fun and such special times. We bonded over quilting, Celia and I, as well as others, Jean, Kathy, Doris, Stacie, at "Rosey's Retreat" in 2004. Celia's smile belied a mischievous sense of humour and a wonderful gift for seeing the humour in life. And Ivon, Stacie and Matthew's last visit with Celia here to visit her 'pig' was so very special. I am privileged to have known Celia and I am devastated at the suffering she has experienced in the last year and a half. Thank you Ivon for remembering "Rosey" when Celia left this realm of being. She was a very special friend to me.
