To Karen, Doug, Clarke, Florence and to their families,
As we celebrate the end of life for Weldon, a life well lived, we are comforted by the many treasured memories we each have of him. There were many trips and vacations taken to celebrate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations; funerals to attend, even a couple of trips to visit Cal and me in Florida - but he never spent much time at these events! instead, he no sooner arrived, when he was thinking of getting back home to the Miramichi, where he always felt at home - where he could work around his cottage, continue restoration of his beloved Beaumont, play his guitar, or turn out another piece of his beautiful pine furniture! He was never idle, mowing his grass, or plowing his laneway, or fixing a broken machine, and always helping his neighbors and community besides.
He loved his family, always looking forward to their visits and get-togethers at holiday times. He was a special person, a big brother to Cal, who always looked up to Weldon for advice and to share old family stories; and a great brother-in-law, one I will never forget! We shall miss him!
Thinking of you all, holding you in my heart with love,
Marge Moir

To the entire Moir Family.....we express our sincere sympathy on the loss of a family icon. We knew Weldon & Shirley as neighbours at or first home as Shirley was a Day Care & sitter for our Kids, always sending them home with lots of treats. not to mention Esther’s close friendship with Weldon’s sister, Florence in their early years working for the province. Weldon was an unassuming, kind gentleman who had no problem taking a back seat when a lively discussion was taking place only to mildly, and with a smile on his face, assert a well thought out opinion that usually brought the entire matter to an amiably conclusion. Unfortunately we are unable to be there for visitation in person but we want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Sincerely, Glynn & Esther Norman

Clarke, Karen and Doug, Florence, Dave and family: we are so sorry we cannot be with you to celebrate Weldon's life and attend the service. We were so saddened to hear of Weldon's passing.
We loved and admired Weldon and his outlook on life and his unique ability to stay grounded and keep life simple and stress-free. That is a rare gift he always possessed! We will miss Weldon so much, as well as his renowned garage parties where we shared decades of laughs, and of which we have such cherished memories. Hopefully the family can carry on this tradition in his memory!
In our absence, please know we are thinking about the entire family and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you every day. We are planting a tree as well as donating to Bloomfield Ridge Unite Church Cemetery Fund in lieu of flowers.
With much love, Moira and Deric Moir.

Dear Moir Cousins
Have been thinking of you all and reliving some wonderful memories of times spent with Weldon over the years.
Always loved being together with you whether it was at our cottage or home in Nova Scotia, or your homes in Fredericton and Bloomfield Ridge. Whatever the reason was for being together it was always a time to come together as family.
Weldon always enjoyed his family and looked forward to sharing his stories with such grace and dry humour.
How very blessed we have been to have had him in our lives for so many wonderful years.
I know you each will miss his daily interactions and being able to see and hear him. Thankfully you have inherited his legacy of faith, kindness, hard-work, humility ,laughter and love to pass on to your families. He will forever be within you.
I know Mum (his Aunt Nan Moir MacDonald) and Dad were amongst his heavenly family joyously welcoming him to his new home.
Our love and prayers to you all (Clarke, Karen,Doug, Florence and Mark)and your families.

At Charlotte Moir's graduation (last year) we spoke. We discussed vehicles in general and beaumonts in particular, he still had great interest in autos of course. Weldon could have easily been mistaken as a man much younger with his energy .My sincere condolences Doug, Karen & Clark, as well as your families. May cherished memories bring comfort to you.
