Scott was one of the first people we met when my family moved to NB and he became a big part of our lives for a long time.
Scott was more than a boss to me he was like a big brother at times. He certainly made being a young girl in the construction industry a whole lot easier. He always had my back. I knew he took keeping an eye on my sister and I seriously especially once my parents left the province. He always knew what to say and what not to say. I don’t know how many times he rescued me from locking keys in my (work) car, smashing up my (work) car, having my (work) car towed, or getting in a slew of questionable situations outside of work. He never gave me a hard time but laughed with me and took the heat from the higher ups ;) He was such a good man with such a big heart. I remember when he joined CrossFit and was always trying to get me to do those insane workouts with him. He was such an example of living life to the fullest and making the most out of every situation.
Some people go their entire lives wishing for a husband, a father or a friend even half as awesome as Scott was. I think we should all take a page from his book.
My deepest condolences to your family, friends and the community.
Ride on, Scotty, Cause I know you’re not just resting up there.

Bonnie, Kaitlyn and Brayden:
I worked with Scott for over 20 years at Enbridge and then Liberty. He was one of the original “Ops Guys” arriving in the first year of the company’s inception. As so many have noted here, Scott was always ready to help anyone with anything. If there was something going on anywhere, Scott would always say he “could head out” to lend a much-needed hand. I don’t think I ever heard him say no to a request to help others; it was his nature. We also had a couple of memorable nights at my hunting camp with the Ops group in which Scott was always involved with the cooking and fire tending! It was very evident that Scott deeply loved his family, his friends, his colleagues and his community. He will be missed terribly by all those who knew him. Know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

My heart goes out to all of the Murray’s. This has been an emotional week thinking back about all of the good times and crazy things we did growing up. I know my childhood was better having Murray as a friend. I loved getting together and talking about the good old days, he remembered every detail of it I think. He was the best of the best. Love you buddy, until we meet again.

Bonnie and family, my condolences go out to you all. I am so sorry for your loss.
I knew Scott for 19 years through work and always enjoyed being around him. Scott had an uncanny ability to connect with everyone around him. He cared deeply about the people in his life and he was always quick to take those in need under his wing. While his ability to tell great stories and his quick wit were remarkable traits, his desire to make life better for those around him were the thing I will always remember about him.

What’s going on ?
That is the greeting Scott shared with me each time we met.
I was saddened to hear of his passing and he will be dearly missed. He will be remembered always. He lived life to the fullest sharing it unselfishly with all peoples.
He would light up the room with his presence and energy of spirit.
Scott’s trip to Peru for example helped to help bring light to the villagers of the mountainous regions was no surprise to me .
Also while there to rent a motorcycle and travel through the Amazon, get caught in a snow storm , break into a cabin to survive the cold night and safely make it back next day was incredible, but never a surprise. Keith when proudly sharing
some stories of his son’s adventures often said “Scott was fearless “.
He was labelled as the “ Transformer “ in one of the companies Periodicals on a tribute to employees. He was a power of example in accomplishing his goals of improvement to optimum health.Physical, mental and spiritual.
My prayers go out to Bonnie, Kaitlyn, Brayden, Keith and Linda, Melissa, Bill, Sharon and all the family.
May they all “ pass through this valley of the shadow “ and arrive once more into the light on the other side and continue on living “ life to the fullest , just as Scott would wish
Peace be with you all.

Thinking of you. Scott had such an impact on me through the years at Enbridge. He always had a twinkle in his eye, a fun idea in his pocket, a joke up his sleeve, advice when needed and a calming word when things got stressful. He made me laugh countless times in countless number of ways, and was always willing to lend a helping hand - with anything and everything! He was definitely a special soul. I'm so sorry, Bonnie. Our family (Bruce, Will and Elle) is thinking of you all. oxo

It only seemed like a few months ago that Georges and I were at Mom & Dad's (Floyd and Ruth) where we enjoyed sharing time and physical space with Keith and Scott. Memories of Lynwood, a sociable drink, meals, catching up on present day life, good company, good laughs and (as Georges' says) Scott's genuineness will forever be imprinted on both of our hearts. Keith, Linda, Bonnie and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Scott was such a fantastic person and was always so great to be around.
Scott and I hadn't crossed paths too many times after high school but every time we did we talked about all those great times we had as kids. And we had lots of great times. Growing up on Lilac and all those summers spent running the woods behind Nasis Middle School, the ball hockey games, Beavers and Scouts, the sleepovers, the Star Wars movie making and so many other adventures.
Scott was one of my best friends growing up and I have so many amazing memories of times spent with him. I can't believe how lucky I was to travel with with to the Soviet Union in the summer of 1989. (Picture included of us at the airport getting ready to take flight) Those two weeks were filled with lots of stories that I am sure Scott might have shared, and some he likely didn't.
Sincerest condolences from my family to yours. - Shawn Jones

So saddened to hear the passing of Scott. I had the great pleasure of working directly under him for 3 summers as a summer student at Enbridge. The biggest take away I had from having Scott as my supervisor is to not only work hard, but make time to enjoy life as well. Scott valued his time spent going on trips and spending time with family and friends. And he always loved hearing about our weekends and any funny stories we’d come across during the summers. I won’t forget the time my car broke down an hour outside of Fredericton on a Thursday evening and Scott personally took time out of his day to come get me. To him, It was imperative that he help me catch another ride to make sure I’d make it Montreal on time for Osheaga - we all know how much Scott valued those music festivals! Just one of the many acts of kindness he did for his students. He will be missed greatly by so many people. Rest In Peace Scott. Thank you for having such a positive impact not only on my working life, but my personal life as well. My sincere condolences to your family and friends.

Please accept my most sincere condolences to you all. I wanted to share a couple of memories and pictures to the growing list. Being a fellow ‘nasis’er’, we went to the same schools and our paths crossed a few times. The first big memory I have, is when I bought his Kawasaki Ltd 440 – my first bike. He was so good to me and was genuinely excited. Fast forward many years, I had the great fortune to experience the Ride to Conquer Cancer with Scott and my sister Elaine (his coworker at Enbridge). The three of us drove to Toronto and back, it was 6 to 7 days of pure FUN. So many stories and memories that I will keep with me forever. Yes, Scott was fun, and always up for an adventure, but it was his generosity and kindness that was striking. He treated everyone with the same level of respect, whether it was the CEO of Enbridge, or the cashier at the corner store.
Scott’s spirit will live on in all our memories.

Scotty was always a fun guy to be around...at the ball field, at the camp, in the garage...he made people laugh and would do anything for you. Your world was a much better place if you were around Scotty.
I bumped into Scotty a fair bit out walking in the neighbourhood this past spring & summer...we always stopped for a quick "say" and a couple of laughs. And I'd always carry on with a smile on face, happier than I was when I left the house.
Attached is a photo from one of the family trips to Brackley Beach, PEI...six of the kids wanted to go for a ride in the row boat? No problem, Scotty was up for the job as captain, and he still had plenty of time before he had to get the fireworks together.
Scotty, the tag team belts we won against Brayden & Shane in PEI will be retired until see each other again. Peas & carrots.

Please accept our sympathies on the tragic passing of Scott.
He was a great guy, so helpful and lived life to the fullest. He would give the shirt of his back to anyone in need at a moments notice.
A great old timers teammate, D partner and part of an amazing hockey family. We were so fortunate to have had the Murrays and the Randalls around the rink and we are the better for it. Bonnie with the cowbell and Scott with his coffee! You could always count on them to show support for everyone. It was so obvious how much he loved his family, whether it was over a coffee or a cold one we had some great chats. Whether it was how Brayden played that game or his love of vehicles, taking Kaitlyn to a concert or talking about her post secondary plans or getting Bonnie that chainsaw she always wanted! Scott’s love and pride for his family was so very evident.
Scott was a character (the South American motorcycle trip still makes me smile), larger than life and we will miss him greatly. We are so fortunate to have had him in our lives and will cherish the great stories and his memory for all of our days.

When Brayden and Zach were on the same hockey teams, I always knew we could count on Scott to help out anyway he could, whether it was running to the room and changing a kids’ laces mid-way through the game so he wouldn’t miss a shift, running out in frigid temperatures to grab a pizza for the kids between games in Burtts Corner after a long day at the rink, taking care of one of Brayden’s teammates for a night or two because a parent couldn’t make it for an out-of-town tournament or give the team a “salty” pre-game speech in the Junction to give the players the kick in the butt they needed to win a crucial game. He took Zach out to Crabbe for his first time snowboarding and patiently helped him learn the ropes and made sure he took a video of ones of this first runs down the hill for a keepsake. There were always laughs to be had when he was around. I loved hearing about his latest adventures when I bumped into him. He will be sorely missed. Rest easy Scott.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Scott's passing. I have so many great memories of Scott through our time at Enbridge, from him digging a pond at his new GM's house (me), the charity motorcycle raffle idea, hockey trips to Toronto for the Enbridge Cup and the Ride to Conquer Cancer ("yes, Scott, you will need a bike for that")....and so many more. Always someone that was great to spend time over a beer with. My thoughts go out to the family.

Scott was the greatest man I have ever met.
Our adventure began in Minneapolis when we were at a training exercise for Enbridge.
The premise of our friendship was that nothing we ever planned actually happened. Literally.
Going to see Quiet Riot? Missed the show because they started early.
Motorcycle trip to Woodstock? Show cancelled
Post Malone? Stroke
Crepes? Closed down
Whale Watching? Daytona? Bike Trips? COVID
We were never short of crazy stories to tell. Including one where a random person came up to us and asked us to watch a rocket launch. We turn around and there was actually a rocket launching from NASA.
Scott loved Toronto. He hated the fact I lived right next door to it and didn't love it as much as him. Whenever he planned to come here, there was a full list of things to do. I wish I wrote all of it down so I can do it in memory of him.
Scott knew my favorite food was watermelon. He researched the top watermelon restaurant in Toronto. We went. In true Scott and Michelle fashion, they had nothing watermelon except tequila.
Scott was the world record holder for the youngest and fastest recovering stroke victim to ride his bike on the "Tail of the Dragon". We made it up, but he loved that title.
I will miss the back and forth bantering especially around the fact that I could never comprehend the time difference between NB and ON.
Bonnie, Kaitlyn and Brayden, I am deeply sorry for your loss and am so thankful I was able to have a friend like Scott. Thinking of you during this time.
Michelle (Aurora, Ontario)

Scott was more than a co-worker, he was a real friend. When someone needed help, he was there. When a new employee joined the company, he would take them under his wing. Whether we needed someone to cook for the employee BBQs, install solar panels in poor villages in Peru, run the bar at the employee Christmas party, play D on the hockey team or clean up oil spills in Alberta, you could always count on Scott to raise his hand. The Liberty family is losing a great ambassador and a great friend. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.

My dear friend Bonnie, I was so saddened to hear of Scott and no words can express the emotions you and the kids are going through. all I can say is it will get better, you have so many loving friends and family who all want to help, big or small they all do, I know you are feeling cheated for the next 30 or 40 years you should have had together, but also feel blessed for the 30 or 40 years you did have together, some people never get what we had. Cry when you need to cry, laugh whenever you can, accept all the generosity offered, as all your friends what to share your pain, you and Scott where always there for others. Scott was a wonder man with a huge Heart, contagious laugh and loving soul. He will be missed by all !

Bonnie, Brayden, and Katelyn,
Your dad was one of the most memorable people in my life during my time in Fredericton. When we were younger and HD just moved there as a family he was always around to help out my dad and was such a friendly and familiar face at Enbridge. I remember you all coming to visit us in Reading street and the twins being so cute. When I moved back to Fredericton as an adult, Stesha was working for the gas company and the two of us were living together. Scotty was always around to help us out with any problems and I know my parents trusted him to keep an eye on us.
I’ll never forget the luxurious drive all the way to Ottawa and back in his parents BMW that year. He let me sleep the whole way which is all I ever wanted during a road trip.
Your husband and father meant a lot to our family. I know my dad always held him in such high regard both at work and outside of work, as a close and dear friend. We owe a lot to him over the years
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I’m deeply sorry for such a loss.

My sincere condolences to Scott’s family and friends. I first met Scott in my friend (and boss) Trent’s garage in 2006. Since then, we’ve met many times through our work, and had some great chats. I liked Scott from day one, and really admired his adventurous spirit and wide range of interests. I could relate so well to his crazy taste in so many different types of music, from Ozzy to GnR to Hank Williams, and everything in between. His passing is a terrible shock and a profound loss, but what a great example he set for others to live their best life. He loved his family and friends, and he was a good man above all, kind and caring with a heart of gold. May his memory be a blessing to you, his family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss.
-Scott Grasman.

R.I.P Scotty Your were such a solid guy ,the strong & Silent type . I always knew when late Spring / Summer was in the air when I would hear you crank up that yellow Harley of yours and it always put a smile on my face just hearing that thing Ripp!!!.
I enjoyed the Story you told me and Andrea about your time down in Texas and the Taxans would say to each other “Hey!! He’s from Canada and they got no Guns!! And then they all got there guns out and started shooting rounds of ammunition off in there back yards and out into thee yonder.
You may have only smiled twice a year but you had a good dry sense of humour. It was a pleasure being your neighbour and I’ll never forget you Scotty, you was one of the Good ones a good husband to Bonny and a good dad to Kaitlyn and Brayden. A lot of people out there loved you mate.
God bless.

My condolences go out to Bonnie, the kids and all of Scott's friends. I am shocked by the recent passing of my good friend and spent a lot of time thinking about all the times we shared together. I met Scott a number of years ago on a spring trip to Cuba with Bonnie and our common friends. After that trip we went on many trips together, we shared our passion for Harley's and friends through the years. Scott was an amazing guy and you always had to be on your toes as adventure surely awaited when you hung out together. We once left Fredericton for a short putt on the bikes and soon we had travelled across the border and ended our day in Vermont. I never knew where life would take us. We spent countless hours on bikes and hanging out with coffee in hand. Our biggest adventure together took us across country riding from Fredericton to Toronto with friends to catch his favorite band - Guns and Roses. It was a trip of a lifetime. I will miss you my friend, we had miles to ride yet. Keep an eye on family and friends for us Scott.

I will never forget how year 2019 turned to 2020. We had surprise visitors and ended up to have one of the most memorable sauna nights with friends. I remember how Scott enjoyed the sauna and told me that he had decided to live his life up to it’s fullest as you never know when our time is up here. I have thought of those words often and will try to let those words of wisdom guide me too. You left too early and are missed by so many. Condolences for the family.

Our hearts break for you. Scott, such a loving, kind man who always made everyone around him smile. I will miss that chuckle of his and seeing him out for walks with his foster dog, Tilley. He looked like the dog whisperer because he always had ‘cookies’ for the dogs and they loved him too.
One very special memory I have is when the girls were younger, he had Alyssa send me over homemade French toast for Mother’s Day breakfast. It was so special, so thoughtful and absolutely delicious!
We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
