I was saddened to hear of Mrs Makrides’ passing. I too was one of her piano students and I remember her being so kind. I also remember her love of her cats. Mitzi, you used to babysit me on a regular basis, and you were one of my favourites. Please accept my condolences.

We are so sorry to have learned of Connie’s passing. Our condolences to Mario’s and family. Connie was so lovely and we always enjoyed the conversations and good advise. She loved Cyprus, she always shared lovely memories of the time spent there, and Marios she was so much in love and fond of Marios. We will always remember Connie as a beautiful, happy, loving friend.

I was saddened to hear of your news. From the time I was six to sixteen, I was a student of Mrs Makides She was always so kind, even when I did not practice as I should. I enjoyed all of the items she displayed from around the world Each time I left my piano lesson, I would sing and skip to the music to the music we had studied, all the way up Main St to home ( I was very young at the time so maybe I was not too much of a spectacle on the street).
I still play at our church each Sunday so her music lives on through her students
I remember the strains of Moonlight Sonata was one of her favourites. I will listen to that song in her memory
Blessings and Peace
