Pete, Bobby and Stacey, Marilyn was a wonderful person! so many great memories of your Mom, an inspiration to the neighborhood, her kind and giving hart was open to everyone, she made all the neighborhood kids feel extra special, especially on Halloween once she "guessed" through our amazing Halloween mask (that nobody could see through) that it was one of the Longwood Dr. kids, she dug out the special "candy apple" treats that where just for us! She will be sadly missed but you will always have the pride to say she was your Mom! Big shoes to follow. virtual hugs to you all!!

My sympathies to everyone. Pete, you probably don't remember me, but you and Marilyn and Billie and Betty all came for a visit in Kentville. I have never forgotten it. I'm Janet, Bill and Margaret's daughter. I was maybe thirteen at the time so it's been quite a few years. Please take care. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Pete and Family,
So many of my best childhood memories revolve around your loving home. I was always so excited to see Marilyn’s big smile and sparkly eyes when I arrived each day, and it was extra special when she started working at the school- then I got an extra glimpse of her and a wink during the day. As a mom of three kids, your home has inspired me in so many ways. Everything Marilyn touched was filled with love and kindness. I am sorry for your incredible loss. Sending love

When I think of Marilyn I think of Sunshine. She was so positive and was always laughing and encouraging fun times. She adored Pete and they were true partners. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with the family in my teen years and she made it a truly special time. That’s what she did, she made you feel welcome and special. My heart breaks for you, Pete, Bobbi and Stacey and the rest of your family. I know that Marilyn is looking down on you and will be with you every day... your very special angel

Deepest condolences to the family. Marilyn was a special lady and like a mom to me growing up on Longwood. Many Times and lots of wonderful memories of playing in their yard with Stacey. Sleepovers and playing in their basement. She was always at us for running under her quilting set up. She was always so patient and kind to the neighborhood kids. My fondest memory was her teaching me to tell time. She always had a welcoming smile when I showed up at their back door. Hugs to the family thinking of you all. Susan Fraser Royal
