Obituary of Edwin Thompson Spencer

The passing of Rev. Edwin Thompson Spencer of Fredericton, NB, husband of Jacqueline (Mahn) Spencer, occurred on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at home.  Born on March 27, 1930 in Morden, MB, he was the son of the late Eli and Grace (Thompson) Spencer.  He was an Anglican Priest and served in Ludlow/Blissfield, Parish of Richmond and St. Margaret’s Anglican Church; he also worked for the Anglican National Church for nine years.  Edwin was a loving husband and dad.  He loved a good conversation and his joy was to bring joy to others.  Edwin loved music, reading, piano and gardening. He was a model railroader and belonged to the Train Club.  Edwin enjoyed travelling with his family; he travelled to Europe, Florida and all over Canada and the United States.    

 

In addition to his wife, Edwin is survived by his daughters, Carrie Louise Cooper (wife of the Late Jack Cooper), and partner of Mark Duperron of Cape Cod, MA and Joanne Elizabeth Berwager and her husband, Randy, of Pennsylvania.  Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his only beloved grandson, Andrew.

There will be a Private Family Service for the immediate family, and a Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place at a later date.
