Dear Jackie and daughters: I wish t send my deepest sympathy to you and the girls upon the sad passing of your Husband and Dad. My name is Pat , and I have always been a member of the Parish of Richmond Anglican community.
Mr Spencer was such a big and special part of my life as a teenager. We hold so many memories of our days when Mr. Spencer was Rector at our Parish. I remember the times he would gather us all up in the car, and away we went to AYPA.
As he was driving us along we would hit a "belly bump" along the road and our heads would always hit roof of car. We had many laughs and he taught us the love our Lord Jesus had for each one of us. Mr. Spencer was a Mentor to me, and I send my thoughts, love, and prayers at this sad time. Rest In Peace Good and Faithful Servant.

Ted Spencer was very important to the early Christian development of my children Greg, Jillian and Amy at St Margaret's in the 70's and 80's and he was most supportive when we lost our infant daughter Sarah. He never forgot his parishioners . He was a positive person with a good sense of humor and a wonderful smile. My last conversation with Ted was at Currie's Garden Centre in June when we were both looking for plants....very special . I will always remember this kind man of deep abiding faith.
My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Jackie, Carrie, Joanne and family.

Rest easy Mr. Spencer.
As a child growing up at St. Margaret's along with my parents, Doug & Corlinda Jaffrey, Mr. Spencer was the voice of the church and installed the love of being involved in all the activities, from JA, to the card parties to working at Target's canteen during the exhibition. His love of life and his love of his family were evident to all who knew him. He will be missed.

Ted would always be willing to answer questions or discuss his sermon with those of us in the congregation at St Margaret's and never objected to disagreements. He helped spiritual growth and understanding right up to our last phone call with him about ten days before he died. He was a wonderful minister and friend. Sheila Andrew

Dear Jackie
So sorry to learn of Ted's death. As his Bishop for a time his support was unwavering and his generosity of spirit was truly appreciated. We enjoyed many conversations over lunch and always felt uplifted by his enthusiasm. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. Our condolences to you and your family during this time of sadness.

Memories.:Ted was someone whose name I had heard, and I had seen a photo because he was ordained at the same service as my father (also Edwin), but that was before I was born. I met him after I moved to Fredericton for university and he was one of several priests helping with a group of Anglican students on campus. My future wife started attending St. Margaret's after university, so I saw more of Ted there and of course Jackie too. Then, when they had an apartment building, a friend lived there so I would see Ted occasionally. In all of the above situations, I remember him as a deep thinker, but also very practical - Heavenly minded but of Earthly good. Condolences to Jackie and the family

I have many fond memories of Rev. Spencer from my childhood and through university when he hired me to be an occasional church organist at St Margarets back in the early 1980s. He made religion accessible. He was always happy and enthusiastic for my playing despite my large number of wrong notes, or if I didn't quite have a formal outfit under my organist robes. Rev Ted Spencer was one of my favourite people. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.

Jackie, Carrie, Joanne & Families:
Iris and I cannot begin to describe the feelings we had when we received the news of Ted’s passing. All the wonderful memories of our years together at St. Margaret’s came flodding through our minds. What wonderful times we shared together when Iris did the music and I (Wally) was Layreader. We know now that when it came to worship Ted was very much ahead of his time. He was so vibrant, so friendly and welcoming. Yes, we could go on about all the wonderful times we shared. He was a wonderful friend. But now our hearts are full of sadness to know that he is gone. To you Jackie, the girls and families we send our sincere and heartfelt deepest sympathy. May the Lord our God guard and keep you all in the days ahead.
Sincerely;
Wally & Iris.

In 1979, I volunteered to become the Scoutmaster of the 1st St. Margaret's Scout Troop, along with my friends Tom Murphy and Jim Harvey. Ted was the Minister at St. Margaret's in those days and he welcomed us to work with the Scouts and gave us wonderful support over the next few years. We started with a small group of boys and, with Ted's encouragement, we grew the Troop and revived the St. Margaret's Venturer Company. He was a joy to work with, as he was so interested and supportive and really made us feel that we were making an important contribution.
My condolences to Jackie and family. He was a great guy.

Sincere condolences to Jackie and family. This brings memories from many years ago in the Parish of Ludlow & Blissfield . Both Ted and Jackie spent a lot of time with the young people and I can still remember Jackie teaching a group of us girls dancing to the song " Moonlight Bay ". This was many many years ago so we are all getting up there in years. Thoughts and Prayers for the days and months ahead. God Bless - Gail (Ward) Clowater.
