I could not claim to be a friend of Joan because I saw her only once a year, but that once was very important to me.. I was a great fan of Joan's meticulously crafted handwork and never missed the Christmas Choice sale at UNB's Memorial Hall in early December. I always had an enjoyable conversation with Joan and left with just the right gifts for many on my list. She was a special person with a unique creative gift.
Extending my deepest sympathy to Joan's family and friends,
Jayne Nicki

Scott, I am so sorry to learn of you little sister’s death.
I remember you as a “wee little boy” living just 2 houses down from us on Gibson Street (Eve Manzer’s house).
Your Mom would take you 2 walking up to “Vaughn’s Store” often. My how times have changed.
May God bless you richly as you grieve the loss of Joan at this time.

I met Joan in 1997 when she became my supervisor at VON Fredericton. After I retired, the two of us began having monthly coffee dates where we discussed anything and everything. Sometimes our conversations were lighthearted, sometimes serious but always lively. I'll miss those Thursday afternoon chats. Rest in peace Joan. My condolences to Joan's special friends, I am so sorry for your loss.

I have no words to describe my sorrow and shock to read of Joan's passing. I have many wonderful memories of great times, laughter, cooking, working together, swimming in our pool, playing with my children. Those were great times when we worked together in Boiestown. Joan always lived life her way, and she enjoyed retirement and her sewing friends. My children have lots of memories of Joan and the time she spent in our home. I hope you are at peace Joan and celebrating with your family and Steve. My sincere condolences to all your family and friends. Small but mighty....you will be remembered. ❤

Sincere condolences to the Kendrick family on the loss of Joan. I worked with Joan at Public Health in Fredericton for many years and will miss her. I know her and the staff in the Boiestown Public Health Office did a great job and had fun doing it. Joan has certainly suffered many a loss in her short life but I take comfort in knowing that she will be reuniting with all those gone before her.

My heart is heavy knowing that Joan is no longer with us; memories I have a few. Joan and I go back to working at the SNACK BAR in SOBEYS NASHWAAKSIS......a few years ago. Joan was a very intelligent creative woman which was evident in her work and hobbies. I worked with then under Joan in Public Health. Now she is with her family and love of her life. Missed but not Forgotten.
