Wendy was a true inspiration for me as a Toastmaster. Her gentle demeanor and her many years of expertise were a guide to all who knew her. Her love for Karl, her family, her pets, and for Toastmasters was clearly evident in the many speeches she shared with us.
She will be deeply missed by all.

Karl and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Wendy was such an important part of so many peoples' lives. I have been lucky enough to work with her for a long time, and she was a huge part of the DI family. She always saw the good in everyone and every situation, even when it seemed there wasn't any. That will always be at the back of my mind when a difficult situation arises. She was a great role model in so many ways. We will all miss her very much.

To Karl and all of Wendy's family,
I am very saddened to learn of Wendy's passing. I have known Wendy all of my life, having attended the same church, and being involved in various youth groups together. She was a few years younger than me, but we had a lot of mutual friends. She was always such a sweet person; she always had a bit smile on her face, and was always so cheerful and upbeat, and faced every challenge with such positivity and optimism. I always enjoyed hearing her sing at church as well; she had such a sweet voice.

Karl, my deepest sympathy on Wendy’s passing. I have known Wendy my whole life. Although she was a couple of years older then me, we grew up going to same church and I have frequently run into her at the DECRH. My earliest memories are her determination, her sweetness and her beautiful voice. Again my sympathy to you and her family.

Karl and family,
I am truly saddened to hear of Wendy's passing. The world is a better placing having had Wendy in it. Wendy was a peer, but she was also a mentor, sharing her wealth of knowledge and expertise so graciously.
Wendy - I will think of you often, when I am speaking to a group, and know that you will be keeping watch and doing "ah counting" to help me through. You are loved and missed already. May you fly high and free my friend.

Our hearts are aching. I have known Wendy for the past 20 years. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to spend an hour with Wendy last Wednesday in the hospital. Wendy and I had a special bond in that we shared a great love for our son Jordan and our wonderful grandchildren Deven, Alexis, and Nicholas. We were both mother and grandmother. I have the utmost respect, love, and admiration for this wonderful and caring woman. We are family and shared many happy family celebrations together over the years. I always enjoyed her company and valued her opinion. Karl, Wendy, my husband Neil and I would spend time together after a family celebration to have a chat and a laugh. One of our Christmas traditions was to go to our son’s house to watch our grandchildren open their Christmas gifts. Karl and Wendy were always there first and Karl and Jordan would cook Christmas breakfast (which I loved). One Christmas I went in Alexis’s bedroom and there was Wendy surrounded by Alexis and Nicholas who were doing her hair and covering her in all kinds of jewelry. She was totally enjoying herself. They could do what they wanted. Wendy is a gem, that rare person who can accept and share her love in a blended family. I am grateful that I could share that with her. On Wednesday I cried, Wendy said don’t cry for me Nancy, I am at peace, I know where I am going and what I will be doing. She was worried about those who she was leaving behind. As Wendy would wish, we will carry on with our family traditions and I believe Wendy will be watching over us with her beautiful smile. Our deepest condolences to Karl, Jordan, and all of Wendy’s family.
