Jo, I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for you. I know it sounds like a platitude to say that you are in my thoughts, but I hope you know how I wish I could lessen your pain. Jim was such a colourful human being, and we will all remember his talent with wood. I am so lucky to have some of his pieces. I will cherish them forever. Hugs to you and Kelly.

Jim was a very talented woodworker and we shared our passion for finding wonder in a piece of wood. I cherish the many pieces of left overs he gave me and will think fondly of him as I carve away for years to come. I truly did enjoy playing golf with both of you and we can play on his behalf very soon and maybe use some of his colourful words as the ball flies wayward ! Hugs, Beth Leroux

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We have missed seeing him around, always with a wittism, we will miss that. I always appreciated him saying just what it was, with no beating around the bush. Lots of memories over the years. He actually was the one who got me into golf back in the bridge structure days.

It was with great sadness that I heard about Jim. He was a very special friend to my husband and me - we spent many years meeting up down south with Jo-Anne and Jim for golf, supper and cards. He was a big, really big, teddy bear at heart and I will always look at the beautiful sign that he made us with pride and in rememberance of our happy times together. His “Jim-isms” still make me smile when I think about them and I expect that they always will. Thank you Jim for your friendship and support during my darker days.

Jim Fraser lived half a block from me when I was a child in the Dobie in the 1940s and after. I see he was three years older than I.
He was the biggest kid in the neighbourhood, and I remember his witty comments when we rode most days on SMT buses.
I followed his career after that, and was aware that he had become a respected engineer.
Best wishes to his family.
