I have many great memories of Uncle Gerry from our summer visits to Fredericton during my childhood.... listening to the police scanner and rushing out to find the moose that was spotted in the ditch (and finding it)!, fish and chips in newspaper at the fair grounds, Saturday mornings at the farmer's market with an extra dollar or two to spend that Uncle Gerry slipped me. Later on he was just as generous with my son Joey on our visits, taking his for ice cream and to the park to see the deer and letting him help with the mail delivery. I could go on and on. You would look long and hard for a sweeter soul.
I like to believe that he is now in heaven with Granny, Mom, Dad and all the rest of the family that has passed before him. Enjoy your reunions Uncle Gerry... and great big hugs to everyone!
Condolences to all who knew and care about him. Forever in my heart...
Patricia Burnside - Joyce's daughter.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Uncle Gerry's family, relatives and friends. I've many fond memories of our summer visits to Fredericton … watching Gerry dive from the high board at the outdoor pool, his treats at the ice cream shop, going to the drive-in movies, his uniform and awesomely worn shoes. Decades later these memories are still with me. RIP Uncle Gerry.
