Claire was like a second mother to me growing up in Fredericton. When ever I visited Fredericton I always took the time to visit with Claire and Eric and then just Claire . She holds a special place in my heart. Only seven months ago she made a surprise visit to Toronto with Rick and Kelly when my father Bob Velensky passed away. Im so glad Mom and Elana were able to share this difficult time with you. I send my LOVE and condolences to you all. Robbie Velensky

I will never forget when Dad and Kelly took us to the East coast to meet Kelly’s extended family. We were out for a lobster dinner and Claire and Ollie were tearing into the lobsters and showing my brother Nolan and I all the extra edible parts in the body! I was 8 or 9 and horrified but absolutely fascinated at the same time. On that trip I learned you can always trust those East Coasters for a good surprise! Every visit with Claire was better than the last and always had me leaving full of food and feeling well loved. Introducing her to my husband, Nathan they instantly found a shared love of heavy-handed rum and cokes. While he only knew her briefly he also feels that an amazing presence has been lost. Rest In Peace Claire, you will forever remain in our hearts. Sending all our love and wishes to the MacEwen family during this time of sorrow. Xo Nicola and Nathan Lloyd
