From the baby of the family, Allie Lou Patricia Ann Campbell, your sister. I am glad you were my brother. I was blessed to have you and Jack and Mon and Dad as my family. You were 5 years old, and Jack was 3 when I was born in Saint John in 1942. Mom and Dad adopted me to the best home. I loved you, and prayed for you. I am glad you are not hurting any more.

Dear Carol Ann and Teri
I was very saddened and shocked to learn via an e-mail tonight, of Mac's death. My memories and acquaintance with Mac go back a long way, when he worked with my husband Floyd Fowler, for N.B.Power. I recall how admired and respected Mac was in the work force. I especially remember August of 1970,when Floyd suffered a fatal electrical accident. Mac's compassion and helpful offers of support, shown to me and my four little ones, during his several visits to my home, will never be forgotten. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayer that God's love will sustain and comfort you, Teri and family, in the days ahead.I say this with assurance because of my own experience just three years ago, Nov. 24th, 2009, when I said goodbye to Eric, my beloved husband of 35 years.
May God bless you and your family, during this time and the days to follow.
Sincerely,
Wilberta Fowler-Topple

Carol Ann and family I'm so sorry for your loss. Mac was my mentor at NB Power and was a quality person in every sense of the word. He was very well repsected and every time I met people from other utilities they always made a point of telling me what a great guy Mac was. He was indeed a credit to the profeesion and will be missed by his many friends at NB Power.

There are not enough words to describe someone like Mac.
He always had a smile on his face and made everyone feel so welcome.
He will be sorely missed.
May God bring comfort to all his family and friends.
The angels are dancing to your piano tunes.
With love, Carrie

Dear Carol Ann:
I just received my Daily Gleaner and was so saddened to see Mac's picture in the death notices.
You and I have never met but we chatted on the phone briefly last year. He and I travelled together on the Carlisle Road bus for a number of years. I retired from Prov. of NB in 2002.
I always thought Mac to be so very pleasant, nice with everyone, friendly and with a wickedly dry sense of humor. I had quite a few laughs listening to him and the other men discussing life and of course mostly sports and lots of ribbing all around..
He had a good heart and one recognizes in life that some people are so very special. It was obvious that he was extremely fond of you and thought you were "the cat's pyjamas"! I thought it was really sweet.
I have a small booklet which says "the happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts". I think he had lots of good thoughts on a number of things. I hope you will have only good thoughts regarding him for he was such a fine person.
I will be thinking of your and your family in your sorrow. He has fought the good fight and earned his rest. May light perpetual shine upon him.
God Bless.
Sincerely,
Sheila Edmondson
