I am so sorry that I was not at home so missed attending the memorial service for Ralph. My condolences to all the family. Ralph was his own person, I recall that in school, we all realized that he had intelligence beyond his time, especially when he rigged up radio broadcasting and he and Amy had their own show. We hovered around our radios to hear the local show. Ralph's honesty and simplicity no doubt touched many. Beyond doubt he is now with Jesus. God bless

My heart felt condolences to Ralph's family. Like so many others that have shared their thoughts, I have so many memories of being at Ralph and Stella's. As a child visiting Stella with my Mom I remember thinking that Ralph was the smartest man in the world. He could make, do, and fix anything. I don't think there was a problem that he did not find a solution for! I am glad to have know such an incredible person!

We would like to express our condolences to Ralph's family at this time. Ralph was a good neighbour, always willing to take the time to solve and repair what no one else could manage to do. He had a great sense of humor and a kind heart, most notably with his animals. We were very saddened to hear of Ralph's passing. We send our sincere sympathy to you.

Dear Rachel: Please accept my sympathy in the loss of your Uncle Ralph. I was sad when I heard he had passed away (although I know he's in a much better place). I was visiting with Mom when you called on Sunday to tell her Ralph was in the hospital. We had been talking about going to visit him just before you called. Ralph was a wonderful neighbour and friend to our family, and I know Mom and Dad loved and respected him very much. We all will miss him dearly. Love & prayers, Joy

Rachel, Mark and Carolyn...you have been wonderful to Unkle and he appreciated it in his own way. Cuz Ralph and I shared some good times when I travelled to town to business college and working summers with him. He told me "Be there on time--or be left" and I made sure I was there..long walk to the 'Burg from town. He had a "different" way of joking. He especially liked the sox I found for him with the long coloured toes!!...and the various Chinese puzzles we found..one particular one exasperated him..called Nuts and Knots.. I finally had to give Aunt Estella the printed answer. She would hear the crash as it hit the wall...and then the thump, thump as he retrieved it and tried again...eventually with the help; he mastered it--joyfully telling me he did it himself!! We will all miss him and his various acclamations. May God be with all of you in the coming weeks and months as you sort things out. Love and prayers, Doris (Hossack) Stairs

Dear Rachel & family,
Please know many prayers are with you during these days. Rach, you have been the best niece anyone could ever ask for. Both you and Tony took care of Ralph for many years. I agree with Diane as each summer my folks would visit at Cross Creek at Amos & Lottie's house and we would also visit with Ralph and Stella. Stella along with Ethel Fraser were very close friends and relatives of my grandmother so the visits were very sweet and special. Many prayers will be with you during the service on Friday.
Blessings,
Cathy Carmichael Weeks

Carolyn, Mark & Rachel,
Sending you our sincere sympathy at this time.
We have such warm memories of your Uncle Ralph.
Personally, I remember all the trips of taking our old T.V. to him so he would get it running in time for Dad( Bertie) to catch Hockey Night in Canada.
So sorry we are unable to atttend the funeral service. Patty lives in Washington State & Helen is in Toronto at this time.
I( Margaret) am committed to babysitting my grandchildren.
Again, all our sympathies to you & your families.

Ralph was a wonderful neighbor and will be remembered for his kind deeds and wonderful laugh. As a young boy, Michael and I spent many a summer day on the "Hay Wagon" helping Ralph with the hay. I wasn't much help but it was a highlight of my summer. Oh the sound of that old tractor coming up Ralph's driveway. Ralph was a wonderful friend to the Brewer family and will be remembered for his quick wit and kind smile, and I think he must have fixed every TV in the Brewer house at least 3 times. May God bless the family during this time of sorrow and loss.

It was with a sad heart I learned of Ralph's death. Our family thought so highly of Ralph and Gerry enjoyed Ralph's company so much. He was so knowledgeable about so many things and could put something back together from nothing - like you said in the write up in his own time. His normal charge for anything was $2.00. Mom travelled back and forth with Ralph when they both worked in Fredericton and she told me many stories. Mom, Dad and me moved to Fredericton the year I was in grade 3 and I would get a drive with Ralph every Friday night home to stay with Grammie and Grampie and then would go back to Fredericton with him on Monday mornings. TV's were just becoming a household item at that time and Grammie and Grampie didn't have one but we did so......I would get Raplh to load this big tv in his car to take to Cross Creek with me and then load it back in on Monday morning heading to Fredericton. Now in the winter Grammie would be waiting at the end of the driveway with a hand sled to transport the tv into the house - imagine!!!!!
Ralph had the best heart and would help anyone and my girls loved to visit on Sunday and see all the kittens and of course the bull. Oh, I have so many fond memories of good times in Cross Creek and I can still see and hear Grammie standing along the side of her home and shouting across to Estella. I could go on and on but I'm thinking space is running out. Please know you all are in my thoughts, my prayers and most of all in my heart.
Love and Hugs,
Diane xoxo
