Farewell dear friend, I shall miss you. You left us a legacy of love and smiles and courage.
From 'Apples of Gold'
"Instead of fearing death, we should look it in the face and recognize it for what it is --- a friend that has come to release us from the bondage of the flesh"
You did.
My deepest sympathy to the Colwell family.

Marilyn was the most thoughtful, caring person one could ever imagine, always concerned about other people's feelings. Marilyn could always find a reason to smile, and she had a heart full of love. Our thoughts and prayers are with her brother, sister and entire family. We are sad to see her go, but have faith that she is with our Lord and Savior, and look forward to seeing her again someday.

Marilyn's greatest gift was her warm smile and the caring way she showed toward her mother, Nell and father, Walter. Barkers Point has lost a true star !!!

I thank and praise the Lord that Marilyn was my friend. When she was Missions Coordinator at Devon Park Church, she answered my emails immediately, and was always so cheerful and encouraging. Then during furlough, it was even better when we got together. It wasn't long ago that I talked to her (from France) in her room at the hospital. She still was rejoicing in the Lord.
We will all miss her, but she is with the Lord, ALIVE AND WELL at last! God bless and comfort your hearts. Fran Clark

Dear Eileen, Stephen and familes,
We want to join many others in sending our condolances at this difficult time. We are sure that these last months have been hard to press on in the midst of Marilyn's failing health.
We want assure you that you are in our prayers in these days. We can only imagine the loss that you feel at this moment.
We will surely miss Marilyn too. We enjoyed so much the emails of encouragement that she sent almost monthly as we have been serving the Lord in Italy. We will miss them.
Be sure of our prayers and remember that the Lord will give you His comfort and strength in these days as you trust Him. Romans 15:13

We just learned this morning of Marilyn's passing. These last few months we've kept in touch by telephone and email. I knew Marilyn from high school and we shared some good and very happy times both in and out of school. She was indeed a very caring and kind-hearted soul and always so positive and upbeat. It is nice to know we now have another loving angel in heaven to watch over us.

Dear Folks: Sorry to hear of your loss. It is heavens gain. We are on vacation but wish we could be there with you. We spoke with Marilyn on Tuesday evening and said our good byes. She wanted to know if we were having a good time here in Florida. Just like Marilyn, wanting to know how we were. It was never about her but always about someone else. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL FRIEND TO US. We loved her so very much. She will be missed by so many people. May God put his loving arms around you and comfort you. Love to all and God Bless each and everyone. See you on the happy peaceful shores Marilyn. Love David and Kathryn Jensen

Spoke to Marilyn in the hospital while mother was in there as well. My Mom is related to Marilyn through the Staples. Mothers grandmother on her Moms side was Jane Staples (Barnett & Ferris) married names. Moms mother was Viola Barnett Newman.
Sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing but she was such an encouragement in the hospital and waiting on the Lord to take her home to be with HIM. She never wavered in her faith. God bless each of you and cherish those memories as I will cherish knowing her from Devon Park and showing her the book on our family tree.
