I will always remember her smiling face beaming at the hungry hordes attending Young Adult Weekend at Caton's Island back in the '90s. A wonderful lady, who with Hugh stands as a marriage example to strive towards. My love and condolences to all the family

Our hearts are broken with the sad news. Gen was an amazing lady. She was one of the kindest, sweetest ladies I have had the privilege to know. After we moved to Halifax, I sooo missed the clothesline talks Gen and I had over the years. She fought a long battle and deserves the peace she is at now. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I knew Gen for a lot of years and we had a great trip overseas together, and we traveled together back and forth from Fredericton to our homes in Carleton County.

It was a privilege to have Hugh & Gen join our church family while their son Troy served as Lead Pastor from 2016-2018. The McKnights were all greatly loved and appreciated. Proverbs 31 (The Message) speaks to our memories of Gen. "A good woman is worth far more than diamonds. Her husband can trust her without reserve. She's up early, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day. She dresses for work, rolls up her sleeves and is eager to get started. She senses the worth of her work and is never in a hurry to call it quits for the day. She's skilled and diligent in the craft of homemaking. She's quick to assist anyone in need and reaches out to help the poor. She dresses in colorful linens and silks.
Her clothes are well-made and elegant. She always faces tomorrow with a smile.
When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly. Her children respect and bless her. Her husband praises her saying, 'Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!' Truly the woman to be admired and praised is the one who lives a God-honoring and Christ-centered life!" Thank you Gen for being such a woman!
