As a former high school student of Mr. Capen I send out sincere condolences to all of his family. Although I graduated in 1990 he was never forgotten.
He was a great high school teacher who never let me down. There was never a dull moment with his great sense of humour. He certainly had my respect in school years and then out. Used to run into him a fair amount and always had great chats.
He will be missed.

Bob was a delight to meet and Ross went on a school trip to Italy, they shared many stories at Parent Teacher night. Our daughter fist met Bob then our son Matthew two yrs later. They loved him and he was super to Lindsay as she would visit at Xmas and see him after she graduated. We had an unfortunate house fire in 2004 and we lost our son who was 17 and it hit the school hard. Lindsay had graduated but was badly burned. We went to visit him as we moved from Taymouth to Fredericton. May he RIP and all the fond memories live on. He loved to sing as I found out one night I walked in to a Karokee bar in town. A loss but he spoke of his family and friends and a smile that warmed your heart. Gods gain, Our loss Fly High

Bob was indeed a remarkable individual, and his love of teaching was so evident. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor, and always had a story to share. He often shared stories of his teaching career, and always spoke highly of his former students. Thank you Bob for those 48 years in the classroom. Rest easy my friend, you will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Capen's passing. We have many fond and funny memories of him at SHS. We met him first as his students, and then years later we shared a laugh the first time we sat with him at Parent-Teacher night. His passion for Current Events was a gift he shared with so many students over the years. Please accept our sincere condolences. Mr. Capen will be missed.

Sending love to you all in your loss ofa brothe and an uncle who was a fine man. As a teacher his great intellect and kindness influenced many.
It was nice to meet Bob as he always had a smile and took time to chatwhich included a laugh. In younger years when Sheri and I spent all our time together, I was always excited when handsome Uncle Bob would stop in on Oak Avenue because there was a chance we might get a ride with him in his always cool cars.
Rest well , Uncle Bob, you brought joy to many.
