I want to send my condolences to His Honour the Honourable and Brigadier General John James Grant, C.M., C.M.M., O.N.S., C.D. on the elevation of his son’s soul into the eternal kingdom of God.
May this time of sorrow be with the admirers, achievers, creators and dreamers that the late Mrs. Grant, who most recently passed away on February 28, 2022, had the opportunity to meet when Their Royal Highnesses (later (now-late) Queen and Prince Consort)) Princess Elizabeth (third cousin of the current Head of the Commonwealth of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Head of the Royal Marines through King Christian IX of Denmark) and Prince Philip Duchess and Duke of Edinburgh (third and fourth cousin of the late Defender of the Faith and Supreme Governor of the Church of England (through their great-great-grandparents (Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and Empress of India and Prince Albert Prince Consort of Queen Victoria) who were first cousins))), the linear descendents of Francis Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld (grandson of Ferdinand Albert II, Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel who was succeeded by Charles I, Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel and Princess Phillippine Charlotte of Prussia (later Duchess Consort of Duke Charles I)) and Countess Augusta of Reuss-Ebersdorf (daughter of Heinrich XXIV, Count Reuss of Ebersdorf and Countess Karoline Ernestine of Erbach-Schonberg of Count Reuss Heinrich XXIV), paid a visit to the Nova Scotia, the province that Manitoba’s first Lieutenant Governor, The Honourable Sir Adams George Archibald, P.C., K.C.M.G., Q.C., was the fourth Lieutenant Governor, during the transition phase.
