Obituary of Jean Henheffer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Ann Henheffer of Fredericton, NB, wife of Paul Henheffer, occurred on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 20, 1953 in Millinocket, ME, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Elizabeth (Pound) Brooks. She worked at Professional Loss Control as the Quality Control Manager. Jean loved spending time making memories with her grandchildren and spending time at The Camp. Besides her husband, Jean is survived with much love by her children: daughter, Kate Scott (Andrew) of Fredericton, NB; son, Michael Henheffer (Meagan) of Fredericton, NB; sisters, Marie Collier (John) of Rothesay NB and Debbie Hebert (Dennis) of Saint John NB; brothers, Richard Brooks (Karen) of Moncton NB, Carl Brooks of Lakeland, FL, Michael Brooks of Kissimmee, FL and Peter Brooks of Davenport, FL; and especially her grandchildren, Jean held a special place in her heart for those that lovingly called her Nana; Mikala, Anna, Noah, Maya and Hannah; as well as her many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by many dear friends that she held close to her heart. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert “Tuffy” Brooks; sister in law, Kelly (Fowler) Brooks and brother in law Gerry Boyce. The family would also like to thank the staff of the DECH's Palliative Care Team. Visitation will take place at the York Funeral Home on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Holy Family Parish on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12 noon with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Bullying Canada.
