Obituary of Peter Duffy

The passing of Peter Francis Duffy of Oromocto, NB, husband of Lillian "Lily" Duffy (Hinchey), occurred on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 28, 1958 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Richard and Margaret (Stone) Duffy. Peter was the owner of Soleman Enterprises for many years, and he was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. Peter was a gun enthusiast, who loved to hunt and fish; he also enjoyed playing the guitar and was a fan of the Montréal Canadiens. In addition to his wife, Peter is survived by his daughters, Shannon Waterall-Duffy and Shawna Waterall; son, Patrick Duffy (Briana); step-son, Sandy MacKinnon (Brittany); step-daughter, Holly MacKinnon; grandchildren, Dillon, Damon, Emma, Isaiah, Olivia, Kaleb, Chase, Gaige and Lilah; sister, Sandra Noel (Elmer); several nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in law. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6-8 pm at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Michael McGowan as celebrant.
