Your mother/grandmother was very proud of her family and shared this with Team at DVA Unit that she so carefully set up in challenging setting at VPH to provide top notch care to Veterans. Tony and I provided Physiotherapy services as part of her team in this caring environment.

Ken and family- I was sorry to hear about Vivian. I was happy to have visited with her at hospice house. It was fun to reminisce about the DVA as well as activities on Miles street when I lived there from 1991-1996. She offered me comfort while preparing for my own loss and I greatly appreciated that. May you find comfort in knowing what a difference she made in others lives. Cheryl Dobbelsteyn

Dear family,
Sending my deepest sympathy to you at such a difficult time. I worked at the VPH and at the DECH under your Bizz. She was such a caring person, made her staff feel they mattered...they were important. You could approach her with any issues and she listened. She might not agree but she never put you down for trying.Bizz will be greatly missed but she will be in your hearts and memories always.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Vivian's sudden passing. It was just over 30 years ago that she stopped by our house to welcome us to Miles Street. She (and Bill) were great neighbours. We will miss her friendly presence and our frequent chats as she went for her daily walks. She was a special lady and will be missed.

So very sorry for your loss. Vivian was a very special person. I knew her first as a wonderful nurse and mentor and also through the church. She visited my Mum, Ann Johnston often prior to her death 11 years ago . She was so very kind and supportive of her and Mum so looked forward to her visits .
I am so sorry not to be able to attend the funeral since I am presently in Ottawa. Please know my thoughts are with you.

Vivian is a valued friend and will certainly be missed. Thirteen years ago Vivian was one of the DVA nurses who was a pallbearer for my wife Loris. They were DVA nurses together and Vivian was the Director of Nursing. One of God's best! Barry
