Hello Barb; was so shocked to see the notice last week of Brian's passing! i am so sorry for you and the family. He was a gentle soul, always spoke kindly to people and cared about others. He will be missed by the Curling Club for sure. I wanted to be at the funeral, but was out of town. I will call you though and maybe drop in to see you.... with warm thoughts and prayers.

Barb and family: I was so very sorry to hear of Brian's passing. As a colleague of Brian's at PAC for 18 years I will always remember his infectious smile and kind personality. There was always a good laugh when you were in Brian's presence. He was a valued colleague and one who served the Archives and researchers with great skill. He will certainly be missed.

Dear Jim and Bonny and Families,
We recently read the heartwarming obituary of your dad and his contribution to our city or as the obituary referred to our city as "his roots".
We never stop missing a parent; we stop being sad but we never stop missing them. It is our hope that joyful events of the past become treasured memories. Please accept our sympathy and prayers, David and Brenda

Barb, Heather and Erin,
We were deeply saddened to learn of Brian's passing. He was the family historian, which everyone in the family apppreciated. Brian's trip to Los Angeles in the 60s and 70s was a joy to Ann's parents. Ann has lots of memories of the trip in the 60s. Sending lots of love from California.

Barb, Heather, and Erin,
We are deeply saddened hearing that Brian has passed. He has been amazing keeping our mom, his aunt, Evelyn Lieke, included in his family news and with information regarding the Hallett family history. He had a way of making us feel included and part of the Hallett clan regardless how far away we are. We have always looked forward to receiving his annual messages and treasured his remembering us throughout his life.
Our hearts hurt for you and the loss you are experiencing. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Evelyn, Dick, Ayesha and Rae Lieke.

Some 43 years ago, I introduced my best friend to the archivist at the next desk, Brian Hallett. That intro led to a happy marriage of 42 years. Brian was a fine man with a good sense of humour, an excellent and knowledgeable co-worker at the Archives, a gardener extraordinaire who engaged in lengthy battles with deer and other wildlife in his veggie patch, and a proud Maritimer who revelled in his family history. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy at this time hugs for Barb, Heather and Erin.
