Gordon and Family, I was so saddened to learn of Bertha's passing. She was a very fine and sweet Christian lady, and always had such a sweet smile and manner about her. I remember her fondly from the church especially. I also remember having her as a substitute teacher in elementary school. I just learned of her passing today, and am sorry I was not able to get to the visitation or funeral. Love and prayers to you all, especially during these days and the days to come.

Mrs. Saunders was my teacher in elementary school and I have many fond memories of her. She was one of those teachers who helped us learn, had our respect, and was loved by her students. I recall how my friends and I would hop on our bikes and go to her home to visit her, and she always welcomed us! Twenty years later, when my own grade six students showed up on bikes at my door, I thought of her, smiled, and welcomed them. Mrs. Saunders was a special person and teacher. I am in the final few years of my career now, and she has always been a positive influence on my teaching. My thoughts are with her family at this time.

Condolences to the family of this marvellous woman. She was my favourite teacher EVER! I can't count the times I have shared with my own children what a wonderful and beloved teacher she was to me. I made it a point to visit her at McAdam Ave. school long after I moved forward with my schooling and up until I moved away from Fredericton. I will never forget the amazing, kind, supportive, unforgettable Mrs. Saunders.

Dear Gordon, Connie, Carol Ann & Families:;
When someone we love so dearly goes home to be with the Lord, we know they are in a better place. Today, Dear Bertha has come to fully understand what Her Christian Life has been all about. What a glorious hope for one who has lived Her life in preparation for Her Eternal Home. What great memories I have of Dear Bertha through the years.
Praying the Lord will hold you all especially close and comfort you all through the coming days.
I will not be able to attend the Visitation or the Funeral Service on Fri, as I am under my Dr's care with pneumonia.
Warm Heartfelt Sympathy & Prayers to you all.
