I was so sorry to learn of David's passing. I used to take him a cake on chocolates on his birthday because I found out besides the extra mural visiting for his gout, his cousin visited every Sunday. Of Course, he had his church friends as well. I was out of town last year and missed taking it and was dropping Girl Guide cookies this year but I am sure the chipmunks have eaten then by now. I am sorry for his loss, he definitely was a man filled with so many memories of history. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visits.

Great Uncle David, I'll never forget walking down from the great house, seeing you come up from one of the barn buildings, always with a smile. You worked so hard and were such a great man, you'll be missed by many

So sad to hear of Uncle David's passing. Although distance prevents me from attending his funeral, my thoughts and prayers are with my family at this time.
I still have fond memories of the summer of 1974 when I worked with Uncle David on the farm. The more time one spent with him, the more one would come away better informed and more appreciative of the great outdoors.

Our sincerest sympathy to David's family and friends. We knew David for a short time but he left such a huge and wonderful imprint in our hearts. David is going to be missed greatly by all of his neighbors which he so kindly referred to as his friends. David was a man of God, kind, and so very thoughtful. Rest in Peace David....heaven has another angel.

I (Clive) was about 16 years old when our family moved to Keswick Ridge. Having grown up in the suburbs of Fredericton, I was totally clueless about rural / agricultural pursuits, and David Duplessis, with his unassuming and unoffending (some would say naive) selfless demeanour opened my eyes to a world I to this day marvel at.
I shovelled way too much manure, met his endless march of relatives as they passed through doling out advice, learned to maneuver a "3 on the tree" domestic street boat under his tutelage, and suffered endless mischief in an environment made available and interpreted by the infamous "Mr. Dee".
The man was without guile, and was ceaselessly generous with his time. In fact, without a hint of a smile, I would venture to say he had a "cult" following over the years. No one came away from a visit with Mr. Dee without having their core assumptions and perhaps base world views challenged.
There has to be special kind of heaven for a man like this. I just wish everyone would have had the chance to meet and engage with such an interesting personality in their formative years. David's middle name should have been Seymour (see-more).
With kind regards and condolences for the Duplessis extended family.

So sorry to hear of "Mr Dee" passing. What a guy! A wealth of knowledge on the gardening front. Last time I saw him, just over a year ago, he had just purchased some rhubarb plants...a man who needed very little to find his peace on this earth.

What a kind and gentle man he was. We have known David for many years having been his neighbour. He always had good stories to tell and shared a great deal of interesting historical information on the KR area as well as any gardening assistance required.
We will miss his presence and friendly wave.
