Obituary of Michael Riley

The passing of Michael Daniel Riley of Fredericton, NB, partner of Nicole Hache, occurred on Friday, July 1, 2016 at his home. Born on February 21, 1952 in Moncton, NB, he was the son of Clarence and the late Mary (McCann) Riley. Michael obtained his Master of Engineering degree from UNB and he was very proud to have recently received his X ring from St. Xavier’s University. Mike enjoyed traveling the world and was always planning his next adventure. Mike was full of life and had a larger than life personality and infectious smile. Mike was a proud and practicing Professional Civil Engineer specializing in the environment. Michael began his rugby career with the Fredericton Exiles RFC and was a current member of the Fredericton Loyalist Rugby Club – Mike loved the game. In addition to his father and loving partner Nicole, Michael is survived by his son, Jeffrey and his mother, Allye-Lou McCarthy; granddaughter, Lily; sister, Colleen Riley; brother, Richard Riley and life long friends Lorraine and Dick Yeomans. Mike would say … “life is good.” “My dad is the best human being I have ever known”. – Jeffrey Michael Riley Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, July 4, 2016 from 6-8 pm.
