Dear Sandy and Donna:
I was saddened to read in Tne Gleaner of Anne's passing. It was a lovely and true likeness of her as well.
I regret I was unable to be with you at the visition and funeral following. I had promised Vivian, an elderly parishioner, that I would drive her to a church function and the supper following. She called me on Wednesday morning to reconfirm and I felt really torn because I could not be in two places at once. I had promised her on Sunday as she does not drive much now as she is around age 90 but still goes out occasionally.
I was with you in prayer and spirit and am comforted to think that Anne is at peace and suffering no more.
I always recall being on my bicycle in Ryan Court and seeing Anne returning from work in her picture hat and high heels and I thought she looked so glamorous. I wanted to look like her when I grew up. She laughed at that when I told her years later. It was in the '50s and that was the elegant way gals dressed. I thought she looked so magnificent and shall always remember her tha way with her nice and kind manner and great smile. A dear sister to be sure.
May she rest in peace and light perpetual shine on her.

Although we only met once, at Alison and Drew's wedding in Saint John, I wanted to send along my deepest sympathy to Anne's family. I know she was a special person in Drew's life.
