It was with great sadness that we learned of your Mother's death. While it has been 52 years since my wife Nancy and I moved to Ontario, all the old folks who I grew up with on the Portage were often on my mind, and I remember both your Mother and Father with great fondness. All of these people were such an important part of my early life and Lorna is the last of that generation to pass on. Your Uncle Ottie was the last old timer we saw during our last trip home three years ago. We were visiting my parent's graves at the cemetery and he was there visiting his loved ones. So sad that he is gone too. I believe Bertha Woodcock would be the oldest remaining Portager now. Our thoughts will be with all your families during this difficult time.
So sorry to read of your Mother's passing. You have been blessed with two Christian parents who loved you all very much. It is never easy to lose a parent at any age. You will be in our prayers in the days ahead. Rev. 14:13

Ernest and Albert and Families, I am so very sorry for your loss, I am Carl Calhoun's daughter and I remember visiting your Mom and Dad with him on many occasions. Your Mom was a beautiful lady and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God comfort you during this difficult time.
