Deepest sympathies for all of our loss. I admired this man greatly for all the outdoor adventures he shared with me whenever I saw him at Susan and Fernands. Our conversations never ever lasted less than a half hour and every one of them was a true pleasure to be a part of. He has inspired me to add a few to my bucket list, thats for sure. He will be truly missed.

Sending condolences to Debbie and girls. We were sadden to hear of the passing of Jungle. May he rest peacefully, we are sending our thoughts and prayers your way as you learn to move forward without a great man by your sides. I spent many years sledding, hunting and fishing with Jungle and my dad. I have many fond memories of our trips and I got to see first hand how great a man, caring and loyal friend Jungle was to my dad and looked forward to scoping out Jungles Tackle Box when him and the guys would come in to 10 Mile. Jungle will be sadly missed by myself and my family. Rest Peacefully my friend!

I met John when I worked @ HSBC Bank in the 90s and early 2000s. He was always so sweet, one of those customers you really enjoyed waiting on and talking to. Back then I can remember his excitement when he would talk about a venture to Nfld. or a hunt/fishing trip of some type. Condolences to all.

God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His around you
And whispered "Come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldnt make you stay
Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
Our hearts and prayers are with all of you as you struggle through this passage of time.In time you shall smile again as you share in all your wonderful memories..
Love & hugs from Eric, Betty Brad and Anna (mom)

Les & Melanie,
One of my favourite memories of your father was when I came to the store one day (years before the expansion) and he was in the old, light blue Ford truck. A group of men were gathered around and there was a pile of deer in the back. I think there may have been 7 or 8. It was incredible!
I always enjoyed seeing him when I came back to NB to visit. His welcome at the store, his handshake and shy smile was a sign that I was home. I enjoyed those conversations with him, and I know you both know what a well respected man he was in the community. He was always very good to my grandfather Lincoln, even though Link was mad for a while when John started selling beer at the store! Link got over it and he thought a lot of him regardless.
I am so very sorry that you have lost your dad, but there are so many memories from so many people that he will live forever within your hearts.
With sympathy (and a smile, as I think of my dad telling me how John took him by snowmobile in the damnedest places),
Jeremy-John & family
