Obituary of Fanny Bubar

Life Legacy The passing of Fanny Louise (Knight) Bubar, wife of the late Edward Bubar, of Stanley, NB, occurred on July 9, 2015 at York Care Centre in Fredericton, NB. Born on June 7, 1923 in Carroll’s Crossing, NB, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Ethel (O’Donnell) Knight. Fanny was a retired teacher, beginning her career in a one room school, South Road, Doaktown, NB and ended her career retiring from Stanley Elementary School. She was a member of the New Brunswick Retired Teacher’s Association, Hillcrest United Church and UCW, Stanley, NB. Also, Fanny was a life member of the New Brunswick Women’s Institute. Fanny is survived by her daughter, Karen MacFarlane (Lloyd) of Fredericton, NB; her sons, Wilfred Bubar of Cross Creek, NB and Eric Bubar of Stanley, NB; two granddaughters, Daphne Drysdale (David) of Fredericton, NB and Amy MacFarlane (Eric Lizotte) of Sept Iles, PQ; special grandson, Scott Parker (Ashley) of Penniac, NB; one great granddaughter, Olivia Drysdale; sister-in-law, Pauline Bubar; sister and brother-in-law, Mavis and Elwood Gorman; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her only sister, Barbara Parker. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 12 to 1:30 pm with the Funeral Service following at 2 pm with Wally Ellis (DLM) officiating. Interment will take place in Hillcrest United Church Cemetery, Stanley, NB.
