Karen, Fred and Eric, saddened to hear of your mom's passing. I have had the pleasure of stopping in on Fanny over the years since leaving the Nashwaak. I stopped in to see your mom at York Care Home on a couple occasions. Your mom's birthday was the day after mine and this was the first year I hadn't been able to talk to her on the phone as I had in years past. I will miss her.

I am not only saddened by Fanny's death but by the fact I only got to know her in the last 10 years of her life. What a great lady and what a memory!! Being interested in Village history, I would throw out a name or two from the Doaktown area and Fanny would regale me with stories. When she really floored me was when she recited the names of all the children she taught (in order of where they sat) in the one-room school house on the South Road back in the 40s. I will miss her a lot.

My sincere condolences to the Bubar Family. Fanny was also my Grade one teacher and was a very kind teacher and neighbor too as she lived two houses down the road from me, so I would see her in her garden if I was out walking and have good chats, and her house was one of my stops every Halloween. She will be missed.

My sincere sympathy & condolences to the family.
I have very memories of Mrs. Bubar, as she taught myself and some of my other siblings at the old one room school house in Bettsburg. As a child I always remember her as a very kind and patient teacher. Also had the opportunity to talk to her over the years when she was able to attend some events. Was amazed she remember my name and our large family (David & Daisy Price) who have gone home to be with their Lord and Savior. May God comfort and sustain you during this difficult time.
