Burton and all your family, I was sorry to read about your Mother's passing. She was certainly a remarkable lady from what I read about her. You know she will be looking down from heaven on all of you. God bless and peace be with you.

Bertha is my grandmother. I will miss her dearly and send her so much love. I loved hearing her childhood stories and making fresh orange juice with her. For the past month we have been making fresh squeezed orange juice as a family, and I share a story about Grandmother. Thinking of you all -- cousins, aunts and uncles and my mamma.

Thinking fondly but yet sadly as you gather together this morning. Aunt Bertha remains in my childhood memories as a kind Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Outstanding to me was her wonderful laugher. I can only hope her and my mum are enjoying a lovely cup of tea and a cookie. It is good to gather together, even in sadness. Memories endure.

May it help to know that many thought and prayers are with all of you at this time.
Aunt Bertha was very a special aunt. I have wonderful memories of both her and Uncle Walter. They were very good to me while I studied at UNB. I often went up to stay over night and study in "my room" which was set up in the basement. Also have wonderful memories of when they came to visit on the Miramichi. Aunt Bertha loved to go for a boat ride! We shared many great chats about books and history. Aunt Bertha give me my Anne of Green Gables books! In recent years we shared a few cups of tea in the dinning hall.

I have fond memories of Bertha and Walter while I was attending school and working in Fredericton in 1948 and 1949. The experience and knowledge they instilled in me was very helpful throughout my life. (Bill) Wilson

I'm truly sorry to hear of my Aunt Bertha's passing, and Lisa and I offer our sincerest condolences to Karen, Burton and Peter, and the many others who were so close to her. I have many fond memories of earlier years when our families would visit, and later when I would visit Aunt Bertha and Uncle Walter at their beautiful home on the hill overlooking the Saint John River.
