Uncle Hugh was always a larger than life figure in my life. As a child he was this tall, dashing man who would come into our home with treats in his pockets for us and boisterous stories for Mom and Dad. When he and Aunt Bobbie arrived, we knew we were in for a fun visit. He always seemed glamorous to me. He wore a white sports coat to Meaghan's wedding and looked very dapper. I shall miss him and his stories of the old days.

First of all, Daphne and myself, would like to extend our Heartfelt Condolences to Suellen and Hugh, and their families. Uncle Hugh was a great uncle to me over the years (actually my favorite). We were involved with a couple of his auctions and he also stayed over with us in Truro a couple of times where he enjoyed a drink of scotch and me, my black rum. Never a dull moment during our conversations. I did manage to see him at Uncle Dan's funeral and later, I drove up to Taymouth to visit overnight......and again we enjoyed our sip of scotch and rum. Sadly we moved to NL and lost touch. Now he is re-united with the love of his life....Aunt Bobbie. May God take him into his fold, and care for him. I have often thought of him, and he is in my prayers each and every night, and always will be. We will miss you in body, but not in spirit. Till we meet again!
