It is with great surprise and sadness that I heard of Clint’s passing. I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Clint for the most part of the last 30 years. Clint was dedicated to serving the public to the best of his abilities and, with his passing, the New Brunswick’s agricultural community has lost one of his most passionate supporters. He was a great team player and his professional advice was of enormous value to his colleagues and others. My deepest sympathies to his family during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to Wendy, Kira Colin and other family members. I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful man for over two decades at the Department of Agriculture. I particularly enjoyed his quick wit and always cooperative manner. On a professional basis I marvelled at his ability to sum up a complex issue in a matter of several sentences in a manner that could be easily understood by all. On a personal note you could feel the pride in his voice when he talked about you Kira and Colin. I will truly miss him as a friend and colleague . My prayers are with you all.

In Memorial
Tragic, Clint was the warmest, funniest man alive. He an integral part of my life ever since my family arrived in New Brunswick in the late 80’s. I fell into a pattern of being quiet around Clint when we first met; I was young, shy and rebellious (he was my parents’ friend). However, I always felt so much warmth from Clint that I always felt he understood me. I feel immense sorrow for the Wendy, Colin and Kira, and the entire Mclean family.

A recollection about Clint:
At a conference banquet in Vancouver years ago, Clint, while in the washroom, was set up to be the target of a hired after-dinner comedian. In about 2 minutes Clint reversed the banter and out-joked the pro- he was really amazing. The best part of the story is that I related what had happened to my daughter at the time (she was an adolescent)- she told me today that not only did remembered the story but that Clint who she has never met, became a hero. Mine too.
My deepest condolences.

The Graham Family (Ottawa, Vancouver & Los Angeles) convey their deepest sympathies on the passing of Clint McLean.
One of our fondest memories is when Carrie & Vernon Graham
stood with Clint & Wendy at their wedding. Of course, Wendy spent the previous night with them before being wed to Clint.
The Graham family were fortunate to spend many occasions with the McLeans including a delicious mussel feed & BBQ cooked and serenaded by Clint. The star of the evening was Wendy who managed to convince Fredericton's finest that Clint was not a threat to the peace and tranquility of Sunshine Gardens.
In our memory forever, our thoughts and prayers are with Wendy, Kira and Colin.
