I was so saddened to hear of Mr.Norton's passing and wanted your entire family to know you are in my thoughts today. I am so sorry i could not make it to Fredericton today. Mr. Norton was a fine example of a gentleman and a good roll model, not just for his family, but for those like me who had the good fortune to have been accepted into your home those many years ago. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Dear Elsie Much sympathy to you and your family. I am in Chateau Heights recuperating from surgery but may not be able to attend due to icy roads. Would love to have seen you and bring condolences from St. Georges Church in Bathurst.

Can it be over forty years? So many memories: Unfailingly polite; Profound feelings for family and friends; a REAL handshake; Put on a tie to go to town; a "certain" wig, perfect for conducting; crosswords, precisely constructed and correctly entered; The Thousand Islands; Music, always music (including the whistling and the drumming); an unsurpassed film library; Blom ... Frau ... Elsie! Would I like tea - what a question!!
Rest in Peace Dad (and Old Friend)

Our dearest brother Stuart - God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew you were in pain, He knew you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, "PEACE BE THINE". With all our love, your loving sisters, Mavis, Daphne, Anita and their families

I knew Stuart in my early years at the Smelter. He was a tough, no-nonsense but fair guy,who had the respect of those that knew him.

Dear Elsie,Merrill and all the family: Leigh had always great pride in her voice when she talked about her "Papa", we were very sorry to hear of Stuart's passing but so glad we had the privilege of meeting him and many others of the Norton family as you prepared the lovely celebration for Ken and Leigh so Nana and Papa could be a part of it all. Cling to all the wonderful memories to help in the hard days.God bless.
Had tentatively thought we may head to Fredericton but we both have headcolds and big coughs so best not to share. Conrad and Dianne xoxo
