Obituary of Janice Moore

The passing of Janice Marie Moore of Fredericton, NB, formerly of Penniac, NB, occurred on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 6, 1954 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of Helen (Wade) Moore and the late Garnet Moore. Janice received her BA, BSc, MSc and BEd all from the University of New Brunswick. She worked in Research at the Fire Science Centre at UNB and was a teacher in District 18 and at St. Thomas University. Janice enjoyed photography, cooking and reading. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Elaine Losier (Hector) of Fredericton, NB; brother, Dean Moore (Marlene) of Penniac, NB; her nephew, Jami Moore (Joanna) and niece, Samantha Moore (Tim Bourque) and the loves of her life, great nephews, Ethan and John Moore; her feline friend, Henny; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Lois Wade; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Bessie Moore. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. David Brewer officiating.
