Obituary of Linwood Hupman

The passing of Linwood “Lin” Raymond Hupman, husband of Shirley (Crockett) Hupman, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 31, 1944 in Bridgewater, NS, he was a son of Jennie (Fancy) Hupman and the late Percy Hupman. Linwood was the District Sales Manager for Shaw Brick and the Executive Director of Merit New Brunswick Contractors Association. In February 2013, Lin received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal on behalf of the Canadian Construction Association. He was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, `The Holy Joes`, a Vestry Member. He was also a member of the Fredericton Construction Association. Lin enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, sailing, watching sports and spending time with his family. Besides his wife and mother, Lin is survived by his children, Lisa (Andrew), Adrienne (Paul) and Jonathan (Krista); grandchildren, Malcolm, Ewan and grandson # 3 on the way; brother, Brian Hupman; mother-in-law, Evelyn Crockett; sisters-in-law, Gail (Larry) and Holly. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Edward Crockett. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm and Monday, October 14, 2013 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 3 pm with Father Kevin Stockall officiating and Father David Mercer assisting. Pallbearers will be Richard McGee, Jonathan Hupman, Paul Murchison, Andrew Foreman, Bill Knox and Jim McElman. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church (Building Fund). Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
