Shirley and family, I was shocked to hear of Lin's passing. I will always remember those days on Carney Street, as neighbours (Hovey), raising our young families. Though the years have passed , the memories will always live on. My thoughts are with you all.

So sorry to hear of Lin's passing. I first met Lin in 1991 when I was at the Canadian Construction Association and he was on a mission to put in place the Gold Seal Certification program for construction superintendents. His dedication and conviction resulted in Gold Seal being what it is today - a nationally recognized level of excellence across Canada.

Dear Shirley
I was truly shocked to read of Lin's passing.
I remember back when you and I attended CompuCollege together how he and yourself opened up your house to me to come and spend afternoons studying together. It seems like many moons ago now, but will always be a great memory.
Sending my sincere condolences to you and your family.

Dear Aunt Shirley, Lisa, Adie, Jon and families,
Please accept our heartfelt expression of sympathy on the death of your husband and Dad. We join with so many others who knew and loved Uncle Lin in offering our deepest sympathy on his passing.
The measure of a life well-lived is not in how much money one has or what possessions they have accumulated, but rather through the lives they touched and the sorrow they leave behind. If the outpouring of sympathy on his loss is any indication, and it most certainly is, you can proudly and confidently say that his indeed was a life well-lived. A husband and father may pass on but his thoughts, hopes and dreams live on in all of you.
Uncle Lin will long be remembered as the hardworking and loving man that he was. I have many fond memories of him and will cherish them always. You welcomed me in your home for four years when I was a university student and Uncle Lin always treated me as another daughter. Uncle Lin would always bring me chocolate bars and other treats to keep me going through the long nights of essay writing; he was so thoughtful and caring. We also used to have fun together watching various documentaries; these were the simple times in life but our special time together. And as we mark this first Thanksgiving without him, I can still taste his delicious stuffing!
May you find peace and comfort in knowing that his loss is felt by all who knew and loved him.
With love,
Michelle and Mike
