I am saddened to read that Donnie has passed. I was hoping to see him after so many years. He and my father Max Brewer were very good friends in the 60's.
Thinking of Donnie's family at this time and it is my hope you find comfort in knowing he is in good company. Dad will be happy to see him

I am.sorry for the loss of your Dad. To me he was "The Don" of Lilac. His luxury cars and stoic presence instilled awe and a bit of fear especially when borrowing a pack of smokes without asking that for some reason we coded as raisin cookies lol. Amazing childhood memories and being one of the last Lilac elders he will be missed!

My deepest sympathy Charlene, Bobby, Michael and Families. Your Dad never missed one of our relatives passing in Moncton. He would always join us to say our good byes. I also got to watch him bowl at Moncton Fairlanes and yes he was very happy when he was inducted into the hall of fame. Take care! a Cousin, Cecile Leger, from Moncton.

There is not a bowler in the city that doesnt know the name Don Leger. and ran if you saw him, because he wanted money for your card. Cant bowl in any tournaments if you dont have the card! You never know someone might ask you, you better get your card, and then the smirk, he knew he had you. No one did it quite the way Don Leger did. One day we were walking in our neighborhood and there was that personalized plates of Don Leger, all those years living in Fulton height and he was with in a 3 min walk. Never saw him and Joyce much, car was never in the drive way. They went every where. We found he failed a lot after he lost his rock Joyce, but we would see him out at the Walmart doing his thing. The bowling community is feeling the loss with you and we hope all the stories about your Dad and Grampie will put smiles on your faces. When we hear the thunder Don , we will know you are up in heaven throwing strikes against the ones that went before you. Hope you have a PERFECT GAME!!
