Uncle Percy will be missed deeply. He made sure he visited every family member, when he came home to Robert’s Arm, making sure he visited everyone else that was also home visiting. He would immediately look for paper and a pen, and wanted to keep up on our lives, and tell us about Aunt Carol and his kids. Since the beginning of Facebook, it’s been so much easier keeping in touch, and watch little Olive grow, as he sent pictures of her through messenger. He sure was a proud grandpa and proud of Alisha and Jesse. Uncle Percy showed joy, even though life wasn’t always easy. Thinking and praying for you, Aunt Carol and family.
Love, Valerie, David, Kylie & Blake (Didsbury, Alberta)

Q: What 3 words best describe Percy and why?
A: Kind, happy and generous
Percy is always ready with a smile and a joke. He respected everyone and he loved to socialize. He is a true Newfoundlander, always telling us stories about his life in Newfoundland.

Dear Carol and Alisha
Our prayers are with you for peace and strength during this very sad time
We are truly sorry for you loss
I have wonderful memories of Alisha being in Sunday school and how Percy was so proud of her and loved to make sure I always saw her in the foyer when she was to old for Sunday school.
I loved that he was so happy and made sure to wave to us in the church foyer.
Alisha I’m truly sorry for the loss of your dad. From Cindy and Andy Connor’s. Alisha’s Sunday school teacher.

Aunt Carol, Jesse, Alisha and families. So sorry to hear of Uncle Percy’s passing. He was such a wonderful man, kind and gentle yet strong. From the time I was a little kid, until recent years, Uncle Percy always came to visit us every time he was home. We thoroughly enjoyed his visits. He was always so interested in how and what we were doing in our lives. Years back, he came and visited me at work and got to tour the waterbomber. He really enjoyed it and we had a great afternoon together. He always stayed connected, even to my children and grandchildren. His strong family connection is something I’ll always remember and admire.
