Conley, Ronald "Ron" Fredrick
Ronald Fredrick Conley of Fredericton, NB, husband of Johanna "Annie" (Peters) Conley, passed peacefully with his family by his side on April 29, 2024 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 7, 1942 in Barkers Point, NB, he was the son of the late Margaret and George Conley. Ron worked as a lineman for NB Power and a plumber for Supply and Services for the Government of New Brunswick. Ron loved his "girls", but he loved his grandchildren more, if that was possible. He was their number one supporter, as he attended all of their school and sport activities. He also enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. Ron was a hard worker and was always lending a hand to anyone when needed. You could always hear him singing and humming to his classic country music. Ron spent most his time at his cottage on the Indian Lake, or at his hunting camp on the Noonan.
Along with his wife, Ron is survived by daughters, Janice Conley (Steven) of Fredericton, Karyn Conley (Edward "Teddy") of Minto, and Robyn Stickles (Adam) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Abby Stickles, Campbell Stickles, Jackson, Jenna and Cole Trafford, Ashley Eidt, Brett Eidt; sisters, Evelyn Casey, Marjorie Flemming, and Linda Newman (Charles); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ron was predeceased by his granddaughter, Jordan; brothers Emmerson and Earl Conley.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 6-8 PM. The Funeral service will take place at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 1 William Street, Fredericton, NB on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 1 pm with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan officiating. Interment will take place in St Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Fredericton following the service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters or the Diabetes Association.
