Obituary of Carl Edwin Elliott

On Friday, March 29, 2024, Carl Edwin Elliott died peacefully in the company of loved ones at Fredericton Hospice. Born on March 26, 1946, Carl was raised in Marysville, and then spent 32 years teaching Biology and Economics at SVHS in Perth-Andover, N.B., before retiring to “Brick Hill”. An avid hunter and storyteller, Carl loved spending time on the Millbrook with family and his close friends. He also enjoyed walking the Marysville trails, afternoon drives and checking out the car lots.

 

He will be missed by his high school sweetheart and wife (~60 years total), Barbara (Kolding); his daughter, Heather Elliott (Adam); his brother, Brian Elliott (Anne); sisters-in-law, Gerry McPhee (Johnny) and Anna Gaston (Marshall); great-niece, Bailey Elliott (James); and his nieces, nephews and their families - Dawn Theriault; John-Michael, Jill & Jessica McPhee; Patrick & Caroline Gaston. He will also be missed by close friends, Marten Laagland, Fred White and Barry Duffy; cousin, Ron Elliott and other friends, as well as by Carl’s beloved dog, Bella.

 

He is predeceased by his parents, Odbur & Marguerite (Blunston) Elliott; his nephew, Edward Elliott; and close friends, Gary Allen, Jimmy Andrews & George Farrell.

 

There will be no visitation or service per his wishes. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Marysville United Church (351 Canada St, Fredericton, NB, E3A 4A3) or a charity of the donor’s choice.

 

We thank the wonderful staff at the DECH and Fredericton Hospice for their thoughtful care and support.
