Obituary of Stella May Kerr

The passing of Stella May Kerr of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late John "Jack" Wilson Kerr, occurred on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on May 30, 1930 in Montreal, QC,  she was the daughter of the late Claude and Elsie (Winkle) Ratcliff. Stella is survived by her daughter, Karen Kerr (Murray) of Thunder Bay, ON.

Stella was a member of the Eastern Star “Bathurst Chapter,” She was a very social person and enjoyed a wide circle of friends at her last residence where she was loved dearly by all. She was an avid player of LCR and will always be a part of the Monday night games.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Jeff Barton for all his years as Stella’s doctor and for going above and beyond. Also, many thanks to the staff of Extra Mural and the palliative care unit at the DECRH for doing their utmost to provide Stella with care, compassion, and comfort to the end.

Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or services as per Stella’s wishes. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the Humane Society, Shriners Children’s Hospital, or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
