I will always cherish the wonderful memories with Stella “mum”. Our annual get togethers, special times, talks and more. We had so many laughs, and these are the memories that will always remain with me and remind me of the joy she brought to my life and others as well. I find peace in knowing she lives within our hearts, and raising an amazing person like you karen has given me a sister for life. My condolences and love to you at this time and always.

My heart broke when I heard of Stella's passing. She was a force that was felt whenever she entered a room. I will forever cherish the handwritten recipe for her chocolate rice Krispy squares as well as the treats she would make and deliver. I met her and knew her as a customer but she became more than that and I truly will miss her visits. Angie Carr OK Tire Fredericton

When you have a friend like Karen, who was kind enough to share her mother with all her friends in Thunder Bay, you knew you'd be in for the ride of your life when she intorduce you to us.. Two peas in a pod they were, this mother like daughter duo who loved to entertain friends and laughed till the stitches snapped. I was fortunate to call you my friend since Christmas 2008 when we met at our good friend Joyce D'Angelo house for a Christmas party. Stella was my mate in a Ballon breaking contest. I being of considerable more weight than she (but only 100 lbs) was concerned of breaking her fragile frame. Is that all you got she barked knowing we were going to lose. Thanks goodness it was to Karen and Murray.
You made my life richer, Stella. You were direct and sarcastic just how any Irishman wants his word salad served. You've left us a gift so valuable for us to remember you by. You left us Karen. We will always make sure she is comforted and loved. Just as you wished. You have left an impact that will always make me smile when I think of you. Adios old friend. Time to see the real Jack. Xo

With a spirit as sparkling as her name suggests, Stella was an uproarious beacon of laughter and wisdom in our ordinary lives. Marking the world with courage and thoughtfulness, she redefined what it meant to be a neighbor and friend; one-of-a-kind truly encapsulates our witty gem! Here's to forever cherishing this impossibility - not loving Stella who'll always twinkle in our memories. With all the tenderness swirled around strength, rest in playful peace darling. Hugs.

Stella was a friend of many while she spent her last years at 200 Reynolds Street apartment building. She was a joy to meet and was always up for a good time or a game of LCR in the Social Room. I met Stella through good friends that lived at the Reynolds Street apartment building and shared various occasions in her presence. She was a caring and social individual and although I didn't live in the building she accepted me as part of their friendship and included me in sharing special times with these friends. Sincere sympathy to her daughter, Karen and all those who showed their love and support during her last few years at Reynolds Street. May she rest in peace.

Stella was a dear friend to me for over half my life. Dubbed “Granny Stella” by my two kids, she remembered their birthdays and was always in receipt of their annual school photos.
We had many lunches and laughs while I lived in Fredericton and I even went from work to have lunch while they were living on Fisher Avenue with their beautiful garden and Lady, their sweet dog.
I met Stella through my Mum and we all did many social things together. Stella was very caring for her friends and she had the best laugh that I will always remember with a smile. When our “ladies lunch bunch” went to see Mrs. Doubtfire at the cinema, I am sure Stella had everyone laughing even more than they thought they would.
I am so lucky to have had her in my life. Love will keep her near to my heart.
