Obituary of Christopher Leonard Boyd Gaston

With extreme sadness, the family of Chris Gaston (1977-2023) announces his passing on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 after a battle with cancer.

 

Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Osmond; son, Mason; parents, Susan and Leonard; siblings, Dan (Alexa) and Jessica; grandmother, Ruby; mother-in-law, Peg; father-in-law, Ford (Salome); brother-in-law, Sheldon (Carolyn); nephew, Lachlan; and nieces, Hannah and Holly; brother’s by choice, Reg, Tyler, and Martin; and special 4-legged friend, Hawk; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be mourned by many family members and friends.

 

Chris was predeceased by grandparents, Floyd, Lona, and Everett; and Uncle Roger; as well as his 4-legged friend, Caillou.

 

Chris was an avid outdoorsman. There will be no wake or funeral at Chris’ request. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. An informal Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm at the Doaktown Curling Club, 29 Prospect St, Doaktown, NB. Remembrances can be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada or the Chalmers Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit). Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
